Frequently Asked Questions

  • What style of tattooing and subjects do you specialize in and enjoy the most?

Custom tattoo projects involving plants, animals, and mythology are my specialty. My tattooing style is strongly influenced by my background and education in copper plate etching. It is often described as “illustrative blackwork” as I primarily work in black ink. I occasionally will include accents of color, but prefer to focus on strong compositions, textures, placement, and line-work. Individual pieces thrill me just as much as full sleeve projects, and I enjoy “growing” pieces over time.

  • What is your pricing like and what payment methods do you accept?

Pricing typically depends on the piece, and is based on size, placement, complexity, and time. Individual pre-drawn pieces typically range from $200 to $600, and full/half sleeve pre-drawn projects can range from $1000 to $2500.

Custom projects typically range from $200 to $950, and custom full/half sleeve projects range from $1200 to $3500.

A $100 deposit is due via Venmo upon booking your appointment. For remaining payments due at the end of your appointment, cash or Venmo are both accepted.

A price quote will be provided during the consultation process.

  • How do you conduct consultations?

All consulting is done via email. The first step is to submit a tattoo proposal. In your proposal, I ask that you include placement, size, and subject matter. I love working with a list of plants or animals, and I try my best to include every element you would like incorporated. I also ask you to include your preferred days of the week for you appointment. Once I’ve received your proposal, I’ll reach out to you with appointment options and we’ll get you scheduled. A $100 deposit sent via Venmo is required to book your appointment. This deposit will be applied to the total of your tattoo, and is non-refundable should you need to cancel. I do not require an additional deposit to reschedule due to emergencies.

  • Will I be able to see the design before my appointment? What if I want changes and adjustments?

I want every client to be absolutely ecstatic about their tattoo, and in order to achieve this there needs to be a ‘back and forth’ between us. You will be emailed your design the day before your appointment, though I am happy to send it earlier if absolutely needed. You are welcome to reply with suggestions and requests for adjustments via email, and we can continue to tweak and adjust in person during the stenciling process. Should you request and entirely new design, an additional $100 deposit will be required.

  • How far out do you book appointments?

I usually book appointments out 4 to 6 weeks. For those who are traveling from out of town, booking appointments further out is an option.

  • What do I do if I want a tattoo but don’t know what I want?

I have an endless supply of ideas for tattoos that I would love to do! I often will post these “up for grabs” pieces on my instagram stories. To claim these pieces, just send me a direct message on instagram. These pieces are not flash as they will not be repeated more than once.

  • How many sessions will it take if I want a half or full sleeve?

A full sleeve on the arm, depending on complexity and the client’s preferences, typically range from 3 to 5 sessions. I love the creative challenge of tattoo cover-ups. .

  • Do you do tattoo and scar cover-ups? Could you re-work at tattoo from a different artist?

Due to the delicacy of my line-work, fully camouflaging heavy black or color tattoos can be difficult and may require more sessions than a typical tattoo

  • How about touch ups?

I am happy to do touch ups with in 8 months of your first tattoo appointment. For ongoing projects, I will do a
